The Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (MPIDR) invite applications to recruit 1-2 PhD students to work within the ERC-funded project “Lifespan inequalities: Why ages at death vary between countries and socioeconomic groups”. The selected PhD students will be jointly supervised by Alyson van Raalte at the MPIDR and a collaborating partner from a leading European university.
Requirements:
- Applicant must have strong quantitative skills and a background in the social sciences, statistics or epidemiology.
- The working language of the MPIDR is English, applicant must possess excellent proficiency in English (written and oral)
Duration: initially for 3 years; may be extended
Salary: net salary around 1250 € per month; may vary depending on factors such as experience and tax class.
Starting date: flexible, but no later than September 2018.
