PhD/Postdoc positions: Cell and Chemical Biology 853 views

The Department of Cell and Chemical Biology at Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) is inviting applications from motivated PhD and postdoc candidates for research into genome modification.

About the position:
  • The research is supported by a KWF young investigator grant for four years.
  • The main focus of the group is to develop and use state-of-the-art technologies to study the coding and non-coding regulatory part of the genome to define the essential genomic elements for cell survival, development, drug response and other important biological pathways.
  • The LUMC provides an active scientific environment for training and collaborates closely with other groups at the LUMC and worldwide.

Requirements:

  • Applicant must possess fluency in speaking English and must be self-managing, collaborative.
  • Applicant must have a strong background in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology and Genetics (eg cell culture, cloning, CRISPR-Cas9 editing).
  • PhD candidate: must hold master’s degree in a similar direction.
  • Postdoc candidate: must have completed a PhD program in a similar direction and you also have good publications in relevant subjects.
