The Department of Cell and Chemical Biology at Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) is inviting applications from motivated PhD and postdoc candidates for research into genome modification.
About the position:
- The research is supported by a KWF young investigator grant for four years.
- The main focus of the group is to develop and use state-of-the-art technologies to study the coding and non-coding regulatory part of the genome to define the essential genomic elements for cell survival, development, drug response and other important biological pathways.
- The LUMC provides an active scientific environment for training and collaborates closely with other groups at the LUMC and worldwide.
Requirements:
- Applicant must possess fluency in speaking English and must be self-managing, collaborative.
- Applicant must have a strong background in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology and Genetics (eg cell culture, cloning, CRISPR-Cas9 editing).
- PhD candidate: must hold master’s degree in a similar direction.
- Postdoc candidate: must have completed a PhD program in a similar direction and you also have good publications in relevant subjects.
