University of Basel announces the opening of the Physics Department’s new PhD School- Quantum Computing and Quantum Technologies. The program invites outstanding PhD students from in- and outside of Switzerland and providing training at the forefront of research in these fields.

Eligibility:
- Applicant must hold very good Master’s degree or equivalent qualification
- Applicant must have capacity or good previous knowledge in Quantum Computing and Quantum Technology and/or the respective basics
- Applicant must have proven interest and motivation in Quantum Computing and Quantum Technology
- Applicants with publications in a relevant research field would have advantage.
Admission procedure
- Applicant must directly apply to the professor heading the research group, submitting the following documentation:
- Transcript of BSc and MSc diploma
- Curriculum Vitae
- Motivational Letter
- Publications (if there is/are)
- Once the student is been accepted by a professor for a PhD at the department (or at an accredited partner institution of the PhD School QCQT), he/she may apply for the admission to the PhD School QCQT.
- Submit documentation to the PhD School’s program coordinator (thilo.glatzel@unibas.ch)
