University of Oslo is inviting applications for a 3–year position as PhD Research Fellow at the Center for Materials Science and Nanotechnology, Department of Chemistry. The project is funded by EU.
Starting date: April 1 and June 1, 2019
Qualification:
- Applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a Norwegian master degree in chemistry. The master thesis must have been approved by time of application.
- Previous experience with catalyst testing, preferably mechanistic studies using isotopic labelling and/or operando spectroscopy is of advantage
- Fluent oral and written communication skills in English
- Personal skills
- Ability to conduct high-quality independent research within a broad collaboration
- Interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Self-motivation, creativity, genuine curiosity about the subject, work discipline, professional ethics, and ambition
