The Warwick University School of Engineering is offering PhD Studentship in Control Systems.
The School of Engineering at the University of Warwick is one of the leading unified engineering schools in the UK.
The aim of the program is to develop advanced control algorithm with applications on 1 or 2 fields depending on the background of the student in
- wind/tidal farms
- very flexible aircraft
- microgrid
- wind/tidal turbines
- wind farm-grid interactions
- smart grid etc.
Level of study: PhD program
Scholarship Award Value: The scholarship will cover:
- an annual stipend at the standard rate (currently £14777, this will increase each year)
- 100% tuition fees at the UK/EU rate for 3 years.
- International students would need to meet the difference in costs (talking with Prof. Zhao for options).
Nationality: international students can apply
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants should have (or expect to obtain by the start date) at least a good 2.1 degree (and preferably a Master’s degree) or equivalent from an overseas institution.
- The PhD student is expected to collaborate with researchers working in these areas in the project supervisor’s team.
Application Process:
- The applicants should apply as soon as possible because this post is on a rolling basis and the starting date is also flexible.
- If the applicant is successful at the interview he/she will be required to submit a formal application for study and fulfill the entry requirements set by the University of Warwick.
- As soon as a University ID number is given, the candidate will be invited to upload the required documents.
