PhD Synthesis of Supported Catalysts: Chemistry, Physics
PhD (H/F) Synthesis of supported catalysts for CO2 conversion, CNRS (French National Centre for Scientific Research) under the EU RESEARCH FRAMEWORK PROGRAMME, H2020
RESEARCH FIELD: Chemistry, Physics
RESEARCHER PROFILE: First Stage Researcher (R1)
Overview
The candidate will be working in the “Chimie, catalyse, polymères et procédés” laboratory (C2P2). “Surface Organometallic Chemistry” is a major thematic of the laboratory which deals with an innovative molecular approach of heterogeneous catalysis. This problematic concerns the relationship between fundamental knowledge of organometallic chemistry and catalysis. It has been applied with success to several domains such as petro-chemistry, environment, polymers, biomass.
Project Overview
The selected candidate will not only interact on a day-to-day basis with the team of researchers and students involved in the project, but also with scientists with whom the team has established collaborations, both nationally and internationally.
The project aims at the preparation and characterization of new supported catalysts for CO2 valorization
Tasks / Activities :
- Bibliographic search.
- Synthesis and characterization of organometallic complexes.
- Surface chemistry and characterization of the catalysts based on supported nanoparticles by physicochemical technics.
- Mechanistic studies by using labeled compounds.
- Study of the performances of the supported catalysts for CO2 valorization (Kinetic studies, continuous flow reactor).
- Writing of reports and of publication drafts
- Presentation of results (at meetings, seminars, symposia…)
- Involvement in collective duties of the laboratory (e.g. monitoring of the stocks of consumables, person in charge of a shared equipment, etc.)
