Post-doc: computational biology, Modeling of Gene Regulation

Post-doc Position available in modeling of gene regulation networks in a multi-cellular context during seed maturation, Institut Jean-Pierre, INRA.

RESEARCH FIELD: Computer science Modelling tools

RESEARCHER PROFILE: First Stage Researcher (R1)

LabEx SPS (Saclay Plant Sciences) is looking for a highly motivated and talented post-doctoral researcher to work on the modeling of gene regulation networks in a multicellular context during seed maturation.

Overview:

Based on bibliographical and transcriptomic data already available on wild-type and mutant genotypes, the candidate will be in charge of designing, implementing and analyzing mathematical models of the regulation network controlling the master genes involved in seed maturation in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana.

The candidate will join the Modeling and Computational Imaging group and will collaborate with the Development and Seed Quality group at the Institut Jean-Pierre Bourgin (IJPB). IJPB, one of the largest research centers in Plant Sciences in Europe, gathers a unique ensemble of experimental resources and pluridisciplinary expertise in biology, chemistry and modeling. IJPB is located near Paris in the INRA Versailles-Grignon research center, next to the gardens of the Royal Palace of Versailles.

Contract and Fellowships: Contract duration is 18 months and is expected to start early 2019. The net fellowship will range between approx. 2200 and 2500 euros.
