Post Doc Position at the University of Delaware
A postdoc position is available immediately in Prof. Thomas Epps’ group in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department at the University of Delaware (UD), with a focus on the field of synthesis of ion-conducting polymers for flow battery membrane applications.
Overview
This project is a collaborative effort between UD and the University of Florida (UF), and also involves The Chemours Company. This effort is part of the UD Center for Research in Soft matter and Polymers (CRiSP). This postdoctoral researcher will have the opportunity to conduct monomer and polymer synthesis at UD and UF, and will have the opportunity to characterize the thermal, mechanical, and ion-transport properties of polymer membranes in concert with scientists at Chemours.
Requirements
Interested candidates should have a background or keen interest in polymer synthesis, along with a desire to study structure-property relationships in self-assembling polymer systems. The position has a term of one to three years.
Application Procedure
Interested candidates please email thepps@udel.edu with a CV, along with the names of two potential references.
