Postdoc in Measuring the Catalytic Activity of a Single Nanoparticle under Real Reaction Conditions at the DTU Physics (Technical University of Denmark).
Overview
The European Research Council (ERC) has granted a five-year project,
Atomic Insight Cavity Array Reactor, (ATOMICAR) in the field of nanoparticle catalysis:
Topic: catalytic reaction on the nanoparticles
Key Tasks / Involvements
You will be part of a dedicated team working towards this goal.
1. Build and operate a (2D) scanning laser interferometric setup to measure mechanical vibrations of suspended graphene films (MHz frequency).
- Scan a large array of small, sealed reactors and measure their internal chemical conversion.Work Team: Professor Peter C.K. Vesborg and will mostly be carried out at DTU-Physics is in the section for Surface Science and Catalysis (Surfcat). Some of the work will be done at DTU-Danchip and CEN (DTU’s facilities for MEMS fabrication and electron microscopy).
Required Qualifications
- PhD degree in engineering, physics, chemistry or materials science.
- Significant experience with building and operating opto-mechanical systems such as scanning Raman microscopes, optical tomography microscopes or similar.
- Experience with handling graphene (graphene transfer) or other 2D materials is also a very significant advantage.
- Experience with catalytic measurements, UHV/surface science and TEM is also a bonus.Application procedure
Applications must be submitted as one PDF file containing all materials to be given consideration. To apply, please open the link “Apply online”, fill in the online application form, and attach all your materials in English in one PDF file. The file must include:
- Application (cover letter)
- CV
- Diploma (MSc/PhD)
- List of publications
Applications and enclosures received after the deadline will not be considered.
