Postdoctoral fellowships by the Graduate School Global Intellectual History: The school invites applications for postdoctoral fellowship.

Key responsibilities / Subject areas:

1.    Successful candidates will pursue a research project in global intellectual history (18th to 20th century);

2.    Will work on the transition of a manuscript into book,

3.    Will be involved in the activities of the program.

Type of employment

The fellowship is offered as research position on a fixed-term basis for 3 years starting on April 1, 2017.

Fellowship: Salary is in accordance with TV-L FU level E13 (100%).

Qualifications / Requirements

1. Very good dissertation in History or an Area Studies discipline on a topic related to the research agenda of the graduate school
2. PhD degree (received within the last 5 years)
3. Good knowledge of English and the languages relevant to the research proposal

Desirable:

1. Teaching experience
2. Publications in peer-reviewed academic journals
3. Projects that make broad intellectual connections and/or span regions are an asset.
