Postdoc in Bacterial Protein Phosphorylation: DTU is a leading scientific university globally recognized for the excellence of its research, education, innovation and scientific advice. DTU Biosustain invites applications for filling up the Postdoc position in the Bacterial Signal Transduction group headed by Professor Ivan Mijakovic. The position is associated to a basic science project on protein phosphorylation in the bacterium Bacillus subtilis.

About the Project: The project will be related to the issue how relatively few kinases in bacteria can control the phosphorylation state of a large number of substrate proteins.

Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD degree or equivalent with experience in mass spectrometry-based quantitative proteomics (preferentially phosphoproteomics) as well as molecular biology (vector construction, protein synthesis in E. coli). Interested candidates must have Fluency in English, excellent communication and collaborations skills, as well as independence in paper and project writing. Candidates will have to design, execution, and analysis of phosphoproteomics experiments in this project.

Desirable: Candidates experienced with research areas involving post-translational modifications will be preferred.
