Postdoc in Experimental Quantum Sensing – Magnetic Resonance Force Microscopy
Overview
Looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join us in our project “Magnetic Resonance Force Microscopy (MRFM)”. Do you have a broad interest in physics and technology?
Research Areas (Themes): nanomechanics, radio frequency electronics, magnetism, laser optics, nuclear magnetic resonance, low-temperature physics, vacuum technology, digital signal analysis, and pulse sequence programming.
Project Description
In the group, researchers are trying to realize exactly that using a nanomechanical force sensor.
Description
You will strenghten our experimental team as a postdoctoral researcher. As such, you bring critical know-how to the team (see “your profile” for details). You are looking forward to hands-on lab work as much as to guiding PhD students in analyzing data and writing papers.
Requirements / Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science
- Experience in one or several of the following areas: scanning force microscopy, nanomechanics or cavity optomechanics, nanomagnetism, radio-frequency electronics, or cleanroom nanofabrication.
- Know how to write scientific papers for top-level international journals and you have some prior experience in grant managment (e.g. composing scientific reports).
