Postdoc in Particle Physics at Lunds University: The Faculty of Science organizes research and education within Biology, Astronomy, Physics, Geosciences, Mathematics, Chemistry and Environmental Sciences. Lund University, Faculty of Science, The Department of Physics is offering applications from eligible candidates for filling up Post-doctoral fellowship in Particle Physics on the ALICE experiment at CERN to study the physics of strongly interacting matter at extreme energy densities, where the formation of a new phase of matter, the quark-gluon plasma (QGP).
About the Position: This research will work on analysis of ALICE data, in particular of the central barrel with the main tracking detector, the Time Projection Chamber (TPC). Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD/an international degree equivalent to a PhD with experience in detector and analysis work in particle physics, collaborative skills in order to work in a large collaboration and scholarly proficiency and good ability to develop and conduct high quality research, Programming skills in C++. Candidates must complete no more than three years before the last date for applications.
