Lund University, Faculty of Science, The Department of Physics is offering applications from eligible candidates for filling up Post-doctoral fellowship in Particle Physics on the ALICE experiment at CERN to study the physics of strongly interacting matter at extreme energy densities, where the formation of a new phase of matter, the quark-gluon plasma (QGP).
About the Position: This research will work on analysis of ALICE data, in particular of the central barrel with the main tracking detector, the Time Projection Chamber (TPC). Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD/an international degree equivalent to a PhD with experience in detector and analysis work in particle physics, collaborative skills in order to work in a large collaboration and scholarly proficiency and good ability to develop and conduct high quality research, Programming skills in C++. Candidates must complete no more than three years before the last date for applications.
