Lulea University of Technology is inviting applications for Postdoc position in Biochemical Process Engineering with a specialization in the use of Microbial Electrosynthesis (MES systems) for the conversion of CO2 to chemicals and fuels.
About the Project:
- The selected candidate will have specialization in the use of microbial electrosynthesis systems for the conversion of CO2 to chemicals.
- The work will be conducted within the projects: “Electricity-driven microbial symbiosis for the production of complex CO2-neutral chemicals” and “Boosting microbial Electrosynthesis of chemicals from carbon dioxide via biofabrication of cAthode Materials”. Both projects are financed by the Swedish Research Council.
- The selected candidate will be responsible to analyze the experimental data and present them in peer-review scientific publications.
- As postdoc, he/she will be expected to participate in the supervision of PhD students.
- The selected candidate will work and optimize microbial electrosynthesis process of CO2 conversion to chemicals and also develop bioprinting of artificial conductive biofilms.
Qualifications:
- Applicant must have a PhD degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology or relevant field.
- Priority will be given to candidates who have completed their doctorate within three years before the application deadline.
- A strong background in the area of microbial electrosynthesis is required.
- Applicant must be highly-motivated person with a great aptitude for research, a strong intellect and disciplined work habits.
- Candidate should have a good level of English, both spoken and written.
