The Department of Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy (Institute of Biology) at Freie Universität Berlin invites applications for a Postdoc position in Biology. The position is full-Time limited to 2 Years.

Responsibilities:

• Collaboration in the DFG research project KU 715 / 12-1: “Long noncoding RNAs (IncRNAs) in response to DNA damage in Arabidopsis thaliana.

Requirements:

• Applicant must hold university degree; Doctorate in Biology.
• Applicant must have practical experience and theoretical knowledge to work with Arabidopsis thaliana and other plants

Desirable:

• Excellent PhD in Plant Molecular Biology
• Expertise in molecular biology laboratory techniques, nucleic acid and protein analysis
• Experience in writing publications
• Experience in web-based bioinformatics applications and databases and analysis of genomics / transcriptomics datasets
• Own initiative, ability to work under Time pressure to achieve good work results
• Flexibility and team ability
• Very good verbal and written English skills
• Enjoyment of scientific communication and presentation
