Postdoc Position in Visual Sciences at UBC: Faculty of Medicine, University of British Columbia (UBC) invited applications from the eligible candidates with background of eye research for filling up the position of Postdoctoral fellow position available in the lab of Dr. Joanne Matsubara, Dept Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, Faculty of Medicine UBC to work on research to image retinal Abeta by using signals emitted by curcumin fluorescence (FL).
About the Position: The research project tackles the overarching challenge of detection of the early onset of â-amyloid plaques (Abeta) in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). AD is the most common cause of dementia among aged people.
Position: Postdoctoral fellow
Salary: as per norms
Duration: 2 years.
Closing Date: 31 March 2020.
Educational qualifications: Interested candidates should have PhD (doctoral degree) in areas of eye research with a strong writing skill to ensure high-quality scientific publications and grant applications. Candidates with Expertise in retinal imaging, molecular biological methods and protein analysis, Expertise in animal models of Alzheimer’s Disease will be preferred. Candidates must have Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills, Excellent computer skills.
