Postdoc positions: Functional Optoelectronic Nanomaterials 1330 views

ICFO-The Institute of Photonic Sciences is inviting applications for Postdoctoral positions in Functional Optoelectronic NanoMaterials group. The group is led by ICREA Prof. Gerasimos Konstantatos. The group is launching a research program on the design, synthesis and engineering of nanostructured inorganic materials based on Environmentally Friendly Earth Abundant elements for Energy harvesting and solar cell applications.

About the research:
  • The program will develop new hierarchical engineering schemes of inorganic nanocrystalline semiconductor compounds from the atomic to the suprananocrystalline level to develop high performance low-cost solution-processed solar cells that can cover the broad solar spectrum from the visible to the infrared in both single junction and tandem architectures.
  • This research program and the associated positions are funded by an ERC Consolidator Grant (Ref. HEINSOL, GA 725165) of the European Union.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must hold an internationally-recognized PhD equivalent degree (or evidence of its completion in the nearest future) in Material Science, Physics or Electrical Engineering, prior to taking up the position.
  • There are NO restrictions of citizenship.
  • Female scientists are encouraged to apply.
  • Persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applications:

Candidates must submit (in English) via the online application form the following materials:
