Postdoc researcher: Catalytic Carbon Dioxide Valorization to Transportation Fuels 1439 views

The advanced Catalysis Engineering group headed by Prof. Pérez-Ramírez is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join research activities on carbon dioxide valorization to energy carriers in the frame of the National Center of Competence in Research, NCCR Catalysis. The position is for one year, with possible extension, and available immediately.

About the project:
  • The specific project embraces an integrated approach to catalyst design intertwining fundamental understanding and discovery to develop thermocatalytic technologies transforming carbon dioxide directly into transportation fuels diesel, gasoline, and kerosene.
  • Research activities will encompass precision synthesis, in-depth characterization, and testing under industrially-relevant conditions to access structure-function relations guiding the identification of superior materials.

Requirements:

  • Applicant must have a doctoral degree in heterogeneous catalysis with a strong publications record.
  • Experience in kinetics and sustainable development is an advantage.
  • Applicant must be a highly committed and self-driven individual with a creative and proactive mindset, striving to excel in a top-level, dynamic environment.
  • Applicant must be able to work in a team and have very strong communication skills in speaking and writing.
