Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa) is seeking applications for a Postdoc/scientist position on electrochemical CO2 reduction in the Laboratory Materials for Energy Conversion. The lab focuses on materials and device innovation for sustainable energy conversion and storage technologies.

About the project:
  • The research project focuses on the development of catalysts and electrodes for electrochemical CO2 reduction.
  • The task will be to identify factors governing product selectivity benefitting from the extensive materials characterization capabilities available at Empa.
  • The labs are fully equipped for catalyst synthesis and characterization

Requirements:

  • Candidate is expected to be a highly self-motivated team player ready to work independently in Empa’s vibrant international research environment.
  • Candidate must possess a PhD degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or related fields.
  • Prior experience in electrochemistry and electrolysis research is required.
