Postdoc Position in Super-resolution Imaging of Synaptic Function at the Washington University School of Medicine

Project Overview: Mechanisms and regulation of synaptic transmission in healthy and disease conditions. We are particularly focusing on the activity-dependent processes in presynaptic terminals and their role in  synaptic plasticity and information processing.

Goal is to  link deregulation in synaptic function and plasticity with the impairments in information processing in neurodevelopmental disorders  such as Fragile X Syndrome and autism

Requirements:

  1. Qualified applicants are expected to hold a PhD degree in biophysics, physics, biomedical engineering, or neuroscience
  2. Extensive experience in imaging techniques and MATLAB programming.
  3. Trainee will work in a highly interactive multidisciplinary research environment at the University.
