Utrecht University’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine invites online applications from eligible bright candidate for Postdoc Researcher to perform scientific research on mechanisms of tumorigenicity of stem cells. The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine has a unique position in the Netherlands.

About the Project: This project intends to develop and validate in vitro assays based on microRNAs which is able to predict the tumorigenicity of hiPSCs and can consequently replace the in vivo tests and ultimately to study mechanism of tumorigenicity.

Position: Postdoctoral

Salary: According to agreement

Duration: temporary position (1.0 FTE) for one year.

Educational qualifications: Interested candidates should have doctoral Degree ( PhD) in Cell Biology, or Cancer Biology and experience with some or several of the techniques as cell culture of stem cells microRNAs single cell analysis, generation of induced pluripotent stem cell lines, CRISPR/Cas9 knockout cell lines, histology, advanced microscopy, FACS are needed. Candidates having experience with experimental mouse models (Cre/Lox, mouse models for cancer), cancer research, molecular and cellular biology, and stem cells/organoids will be preferred.
