Postdoctoral fellow in Geobiospheric Science at Lund University: The Faculty of Science organizes research and education within Biology, Astronomy, Physics, Geosciences, Mathematics, Chemistry and Environmental Sciences. Lund University, Department of Physical Geography and Ecosystem Science is offering applications from eligible candidates for filling up Postdoctoral fellow in Geobiospheric Science to work within the project EEA HRL-VPP. The project covers development of algorithms for estimation of vegetation phenology based on data from Copernicus Sentinel-2.

About the Position: This research is based on modifications to the TIMESAT algorithm and comprices part of the consortium effort to carry out algorithm development, calibration, validation, data production and development of user uptake mechanism.

Position: Postdoc

Fellowship: As per norms.

Duration: full-time, fixed-term employment of a maximum of 2 years

Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD degree with a large component of geomatics (GIS, remote sensing, spatial analysis, computer analysis) with Experience in working in Linux environment with parallell processing and good ability to develop and conduct high quality research, experience in validation data processing. Candidates must have Good knowledge in programming in FORTRAN and Python.
