The Department of Materials and Environmental Chemistry at Stockholm University is inviting application Postdoctoral Fellow in Materials Chemistry.
About the Project:
- The position will be associated with the project “Long Lasting Battery System” in short LOLABAT funded by an EU Horizon 2020 program.
- This is a 24-month position to synthesize and evaluate novel Ni-electrode materials for a rechargeable NiZn battery.
- The aim is to increase electrode capacity while reducing critical elements. Ni-electrodes are also used in other commercial battery chemistries such as NiMH, NiH2 and NiCd.
- The position involves the synthesis and characterization of new sustainable battery materials.
- This will include advanced synthetic strategies and characterization methods. The work also includes sample preparation and data analysis and as well as a presentation of the obtained results in reports, publications and presentations.
- The project will involve national and international collaborations with research groups developing materials and methods to prepare functional materials.
Qualification:
- Applicants must hold a Swedish doctoral degree or an equivalent degree from another country.
