Tata Institute for Genetics and Society (TIGS) has an opening for a Postdoctoral fellow at Protein Science group. Candidate will work at the bench in the laboratory as part of a group of scientists to achieve both independent and common goals.
Qualifications:
- Applicant must have completed PhD from a recognized university with extensive hands on experience in Construct design and construct generation for expression of proteins; recombinant expression of proteins in Bacterial, Insect cell and Mammalian cell systems; purification of proteins using different chromatographic procedures; characterization of proteins using biophysical and biochemical methods; crystallization of purified proteins(optional).
- Experience in single chain and/or monoclonal antibody expression and purification. Experience in antibody engineering is also preferred.
- Applicant should have meticulous lab practices, excellent time-management skills and the ability to work unsupervised.
- Applicant must be knowledgeable about the scientific literature in his/her field of expertise, as well as the theory and practice in biochemical sciences.
- Applicant to be enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work well in a team and have a very clear ability to communicate clearly with excellent verbal and writing skills in English.
