Postdoctoral Position in Asymmetric Catalysis: A postdoc position is available in research group of Dr. Ilija Coric located at the Department of Chemistry, University of Zurich.

Overview

This newly formed group of the University of Zurich carry out research in the areas of organic and inorganic chemistry.  The lab is aiming at the development of advanced methods for homogeneous catalysis.

The laboratory explore fundamental transition metal chemistry, as well as challenging reactions in organic synthesis and small molecule activation.

Project description: The goal is to advance the way molecules are made by enabling selective activation of strong chemical bonds in mild conditions.

Core research areas: Specific areas of interest include: C-H activation, novel activation modes for catalysis, chemistry of multimetallic complexes, and design of chiral catalysts.
