University of Luxembourg invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Postdoctoral Position in computational modeling/bioinformatics (Molecular Systems Physiology Group) under Prof. Dr. I. Thiele at the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB).

Duration: Fixed-term contract; 1 year; may be extended up to 5 years.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Processing, integration, and analysis of metabolomics data in the context of the human metabolic reconstruction
• Computational modeling with the human metabolic reconstruction
• Assistance in PhD student supervision
• Writing of grant applications, project reports, and scientific papers
• Close collaboration and knowledge exchange with national and international collaborators.

Eligibility:

• Applicant must hold PhD degree (or equivalent) in Systems Biology, Biochemistry, Medicine, (Molecular) Biology, or related fields.
• Applicant must have working knowledge of human metabolism and biochemistry; computational modeling.
• Applicant must have experience with constraint-based metabolic modeling is of advantage; metabolomic data.
• Applicant must have strong interest in interdisciplinary research.
• Applicant must possess excellent communication skills.
