The University of Luxembourg (UL) invites applications for a postdoc position (m/f) to work on the project ‘Cognitive Aging: From Educational Opportunities to Individual Risk Profiles’ funded by the European Research Council (2019-2023).
About the project:
- The CRISP project investigates to which extent earlier inequality of educational opportunities and gender inequalities, across the life course and in different domains, have affected cognitive functioning of today’s older cohorts.
- This will be done using longitudinal, population-representative, harmonized cross-national aging surveys, e.g., the different Health and Retirement Studies across the world.
- These data will be merged with contextual information provided by different sources, such as World Bank, WHO, and the United Nations Development Programme.
Study areas: Sociology, Psychology or related fields (m/f)
Duration: Two-year fixed-term contract, renewable up to 12/2023
Requirements:
- Applicant to hold PhD in Sociology, Psychology, or related fields
- Training in quantitative/statistical skills, particularly on the handling of cross-country and/or panel data
- Programming skills (Stata, R)
- Fluency in English language
- Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team
