Post-doctoral position in Topological Nano-photonics at the ICFO (The Institute of Photonic Sciences), Spain

ICFO is offering a postdoc position to a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientist. The successful candidate will be part of an emerging project carried out in the quantum nano-optoelectronics group (Prof Frank Koppens).

The group focuses on quantum and nano-optoelectronic phenomena in graphene, related 2d materials and novel quantum materials.

Funding: The fellowship is funded ERC Consolidator Grant “Topological Nano-Photonics”, European Commission.

Requirements / Qualifications:

  1. Candidates must hold an internationally-recognized Ph.D.-equivalent degree (or evidence of its completion in the nearest future) preferably in physics.
  2. Experience with 2d and/or quantum materials is highly desired,
  3. Experience with near-field microscopy and nano-photonics is a plus.
  4. No restrictions for citizenship or gender.

Duration: The contract is offered for periods of one year, renewable for a total of up to three years.
