Aalto University invites applications for a postdoc position in the field of nano- and microtechnology funded by ERC Consolidator grant. The position is available under Prof. Robin Ras.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- conduct research on superhydrophobic surfaces, their fabrication by chemical synthesis and microfabrication, their in-depth characterization, and their application in technologies
- publish research outcomes in high-impact peer-reviewed journals
- work in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment
- assist in the supervision of PhD students
Starting date: available immediately
Requirements:
- Applicant must demonstrate scientific excellence, be creative and highly motivated in experimental science
- Applicant must have a background in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or a closely related field.
- Applicants with prior expertise in surface modification, microfabrication, electron microscopy and/or modelling of soft matter systems is highly appreciated.
