Postdoctoral Position: RNA Binding Proteins in Cancer 1250 views

Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) invites applications for Postdoctoral Position in RNA Binding Proteins in Cancer. A postdoctoral position is available in the lab of Fátima Gebauer.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • The selected candidate will investigate the role of novel RNA binding proteins (RBPs) in cancer progression
  • The position is available to determine the molecular mechanisms underlying these effects, with a special focus on RBPs involved in translational control and metabolism.

Requirements:

  • Applicant must be well qualified, highly motivated, self-driven, independent, and proficient in English and have a solid publication record.
  • Applicant must have experience in RNA regulation, metabolism, and standard molecular biology and tissue culture techniques.
  • Applicants having experience in animal handling and/or proficiency with the manipulation of high-throughput data will have an advantage (not mandatory).

Tenure: till the 31December 2018 (extendable to a maximum of 5 years)

Remunerations: competitive salary will be provided, based on professional experience

Starting date: immediately available; date upon agreement
