The University of Luxembourg invites applications for the Postdoctoral researcher in the field of contemporary history/digital history/public history (M/F) in its Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH).
Duration: 3 years contract, full-time (40h/week)
Starting date: 1 January 2020
About the project:
- The research project “Remixing Industrial Pasts in the Digital Age: Sounds, Images, Ecologies, Practices and Materialities in Space and Time” will investigate the contemporary history of Luxembourg’s south, the so called Minette region.
- It will be a sustainable contribution to the program of the European Capital of Culture Esch-sur-Alzette 2022.
- Six sub-projects will study the history of cultures, populations and territories of the Esch 2022 region from different perspectives and angles.
- The postdoctoral researcher will work under supervision of professor Andreas Fickers in the sub-project “Remixing Industrial Pasts in the Digital Age”.
Requirements:
- PhD in contemporary History, Digital History, Public History or related field
- Experience in coordinating (digital) history projects
- Experience with virtual exhibitions, mobile apps
- Good command of the following languages: English, French and/or German
