The Institute of Molecular Biology at Leibniz Institute for Farm Animal Biology (FBN) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in the field of Functional Genome Analysis (m/f/d) with an initial period of three years, an extension as tenure track position is possible for qualify researchers.
About the position:
- Continuation and monitoring of research related genetic and epigenetic bases of variation of characteristics of energy metabolism and resilience.
- Development and implementation of in vivo and in vitro experiments as well as bioinformatic and statistical analyses.
Requirements:
- Applications are open to highly motivated and qualified candidate with a PhD/doctoral degree in Biology, Agricultural Sciences (Animal Science), Veterinary Science or related.
- Candidate should be interested and experienced in holistic analyses of the genome, epigenome, transcriptome and metabolome and data integration.
- Candidate should have basic knowledge in cell culture and gene editing (CRISPR) technology to be implemented in in-vitro functional and validation studies.
- Ability to collaborate with researchers from different fields and at different career stages, willingness to be part of a team to share knowledge and skills and engagement in application for third-party grants and publication is expected.
- Working languages are English and German.
