The Institute for Social Research and Interventions at University of Luxembourg offers multidisciplinary perspectives on societal and human transformation. The social research conducted by the institute links social theory, studies informed by a broad range of methodologies, and the advancement as well as critique of interventions and social politics. We draw on diverse fields of knowledge including social theory, social work, sociology, anthropology, educational sciences, psychology, gender studies, disability studies, and political economy. The research aims to provide academics, practitioners, and policy makers with analyses of societal, educational, and psychosocial problems and their invention in and beyond Luxembourg.
Role:
- Development of independent research about
- Needs and competencies in Social Work Education
- Evaluative Interviews about qualifications needed in social work
- Survey about labour market success of alumni in Social Work (establishing and monitoring)
- Data compilation and analysis
- Preparation of a results report
Requirements:
- Applicant must hold Doctorate in Social or Educational Sciences
- Excellent command of French and German, and fluency in spoken and academic English, good knowledge of Luxembourgish
- Profound knowledge of qualitative and quantitative social research methods (eg. SPSS, online survey.)
- Experience in conducting empirical research
