Postdoctoral Researcher (W663) position is available at the laboratory of Unit Leader: Takeshi Fukuhara Quantum Many-Body Dynamics Research Unit, Cross-Divisional Materials Research Program, RIKEN Center for Emergent Matter Science.

Research: Non-equilibrium dynamics of quantum many-body systems using ultracold atomic gases in an optical lattice.

Overview

Starting up a new ultracold-atom experiment for studying non-equilibrium dynamics of quantum many-body systems. Developing a quantum simulator with ultracold atoms in optical lattices.

Required Qualifications: The candidate should possess a doctoral degree of 5 years or less, or the candidate will be able to obtain a doctoral degree before the work start date.

Salary and benefits

  1. A one-year fixed-term employment contract, renewable based on evaluation, to a maximum 5 years from the initial date of hire.
  2. The salary system is annual and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
  3. Commuting and housing allowances will be provided.
