The Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light (MPL) offers a position as Process engineer for Micro- and Nanotechnology. The position is part of a Technology Development and Service Unit (TDSU) at MPL.
Responsibilities:
- Development and continuous improvement of various micro- and nanofabrication techniques
- Fabrication of micro- and nanodevices
- Daily supervision of the operation and maintenance of the equipment
- Overseeing training of graduate students, post-doctoral researchers and external users
- Administrative work connected with cleanroom operation
Qualification:
- Applicant must have experience in micro- and nanofabrication techniques with a focus on wet and dry etching, deposition (ALD, PECVD, E-beam and Thermal Evaporation, Sputtering) and sample characterization.
- The successful candidate will be expected to work in the cleanroom environment.
- Applicant must possess excellent command of the English language, good interpersonal skills, clear judgment, and the ability to work well in groups.
Duration: limited to one year
