Department of Psychology has a full-time PhD research fellowship available at the Section of Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience, University of Oslo, Norway. The position is a part of the research project “Rhythm and prediction”.
Duration of the fellowship:
- 3 years.
- Extension into 4th year can be considered with of 25 % teaching requirements, depending on the competence of the applicant and the needs of the department.
- The fellowship duration may be reduced; if the candidate has previously been employed in a research fellowship position.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Applicant must have Master’s degree in neuroscience/psychology, or a related field qualifying for admission to the PhD program at the Department of Psychology.
- Applicant must have strong background in cognitive experimental designs, programming in Matlab, processing of electrophysiological signals using EEGLAB or other toolboxes for advanced analysis of EEG signals and advanced statistics.
- Applicant must have prior experience conducting research on neurological or neurosurgical patients and experience with EEG methodology.
- Applicants with grade points A or B on the ECTS scale will be qualified for admission to the PhD program.
- Applicant must have excellent English language skills (written or spoken).
- Applicants are asked to deliver an 8-10 page project description including a progress plan for the PhD period.
- The project is required to be closely related to the Rhythm and prediction project abstract.
Fellowship Value:
- Salary based on salary grade 50-57 (NOK 430 500 – 483 700/a).
- Normally allocated pay grade 50 on appointment (depending on competence).
