The School of Psychology at University of Surrey is inviting applications for a research fellow in Applied Psychology.
About the position:
- This is a postdoctoral position for a two-year project in partnership with The Whiteley Foundation for Ageing Well.
- This project aims to encourage nature-engagement among older people to support their health and wellbeing. This will be done by developing nature-conservation activities with older people that are tailored to their needs and abilities
Requirements:
- Applicant must be motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent data analysis and communication skills, both verbal and written (as evidenced by authorship of peer-reviewed publications), who is both able to work independently and liaise with colleagues.
- Candidate’s PhD would ideally be in Psychology, but related disciplines may be considered (e.g. Behavioural Sciences, Health Science, and Social Science).
- Applicant should be able and willing to travel to and from the University and Whiteley Village and ideally have access to his/her own mode of transport.
- Prior experience in working with older people is not necessary but would be a bonus.
