Research on Silicon Photonic Devices at University of Southampton: The University of Southampton is an institution top most in the world and is one of the UK’s top 15 research-intensive universities. University of Southampton invited applications for 2 Research Fellow positions on Silicon Photonic Devices and their Applications to be a part of our world-recognized team in the Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC) at the University of Southampton. These positions will be Full Time Fixed Term for 2 years funded by the UK’s Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).
About the project: The project will develop practical linear and nonlinear optical devices that will be used for the processing of communication signals.

Salary: £30,395 to £33,199 Per annum
Duration: Full Time Fixed Term for 2 years
Location for position: Highfield Campus
Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD Degree or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in fibre optics, silicon photonic or another related area of photonics having good understanding of nonlinear optics and their applications, characterising photonic components and optical system modelling.
