Research position in Allergy and Inflammation Research: University of Southampton: The University of Southampton is an institution in the top rank of world universities and one of the UK’s top 15 research-intensive universities, invited application from eligible highly motivated PhD holder scientists for Full Time Fixed Term (27 months) Research Fellow in Allergy and Inflammation Research at Southampton General Hospital.
About the Project: This position will support the biomedical aspects of a Wellcome Trust-funded collaboration between Medicine and Engineering at the University of Southampton. This post will make and validate biomedical µCT applications leading work on sample preparation protocols for histology and µCT imaging and will further develop a micro-computed tomography (µCT) system optimised for soft tissue imaging. Related project will open new areas of research, such as large-scale 3D histological phenotyping (“histomics”).

Duration: Full Time Fixed Term (27 months)
Location: Southampton General Hospital
Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have Ph.D degree in relevant with experience in a relevant discipline, preferably have a biological background and experience of imaging with a good understanding of image analysis and processing.
