The Department of Chemistry–Ångström at Uppsala University is inviting applications for a Researcher position in Advanced Materials Analysis.
Role and responsibilities:
- Planning and conducting advanced materials characterisation both with local resources and at large-scale research facilities
- Communicating research results by writing scientific articles in collaboration with other researchers
- Actively seeking external research funding
- Supervision of doctoral students
- Teaching in the first and /or second cycles of studies
Requirements:
- Applicants must have a PhD within the field of materials chemistry, physics, or science, or a corresponding field
- Applicants must have very good oral and written proficiency in English
- Applicants must have significant experience of electron and X-ray spectroscopic techniques and experience of surface analysis of multi-component materials.
- Experience in surface analysis in the context of corrosion studies
