The Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) is an aided institute of Department of Atomic Energy, Gov. of India and

undertakes externally funded research projects where delivery oriented projects are executed with external funding.

Overview:

Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Mechanical

Job description: The candidate will be required to undertake computational simulation and modelling related work for objectives of the project as specified by the funding agency sanction order.

Qualifications: B. E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks in qualifying degree from a recognized university/institute. The candidate should have studied a course in Programming languages (Fortran/C/C++) OR should have some experience in developing/modifying computer codes in these languages. 

Position: Research Associate-II (RA) – Mechanical/Physics/Computer Science/Electrical (04 Nos.)

The candidate will be required to undertake computational simulation and modelling related work for objectives of the project as specified by the funding agency sanction order.

Qualifications: Candidate should have Ph.D. degree in Mechanical/physics or other physics disciplines/Computer Science/Electrical Engineering from a recognized university or institute OR M.E. / M.Tech in Mechanical/Computer Science/Electrical engineering with 3 years of research,

Position: Project Scientist / Engineer (02 Nos.)

The candidate will be required to participate in the development of computer programs and databases for scientific/technological applications. This will be delivery oriented time bound code development work.

Qualifications: Candidate should be M.Sc. in Physics (full time) with Minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree OR B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
