Royal Geographical Society offers Henrietta Hutton Memorial Fund as a research grant to a student who wishes to take up field research overseas as an individual or as part of a team (multi-disciplinary).
Number of awards: 01 (One) grant
Award value: £500 for an undergraduate student.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be students enrolled at a UK Higher Education Institution
- Applicants in the research field of geographical, social and/or environmental science or natural history element will be given preference.
- Applicants must demonstrate strong host country participation in the field research to be undertaken.
- Applicants must begin their field research the same year the award is granted.
- The field research must be of more than 4 weeks but does not necessarily have to be connected to the student’s academic studies.

- Name and full contact details with an email id
- year of commencement of the University course and the intended completion date
- indicate the programme (undergraduate or postgraduate)
- short abstract with title, giving context to the research (not more than 100 words)
- Aim of the project and objectives (max 250 words); Location of research area
- Detailed description of the proposed research (max 500 words); Duration of fieldwork/research with start and intended end date
- Details of links with host country, including permissions and collaborations (max 250 words)
