Description
The School has a number a number of different research groups. Specific research interests can be found in our staff profiles. We welcome research proposals and will do our best to identify potential supervisors.
The renovation also created a unique active learning laboratory which provides open plan space for student team projects, alongside a workshop equipped with rapid prototyping machines for student use. Research students are based in open plan accommodation close to the academic staff offices so that they benefit from regular interaction with each other and with staff.
Requirements
- Applications are welcomed from well qualified graduates who would typically hold a UK first degree or equivalent in the first or 2:1 class, or a 2:2 class degree plus a Master’s degree, in a relevant subject.
- The indicative entry requirement is an Honor’s degree in an Engineering, Physical Sciences or Computer Sciences subject at a level of 2:1 or above for research programs.
- Mature students are eligible via standard University requirements which allow appropriate qualifications plus experience as an alternative to an Honor’s degree.
- Applications are welcome from around the world. You should ensure that your qualifications are equivalent to those required to study for this research degree.
- English language requirements for international students.
