Wageningen Bioveterinary Research (WBVR) at Wageningen University & Research is inviting applications for readily available research scientist in the challenging multi-disciplinary field.

Experience requirements:
  • Marker-based microbiota analysis (16S/ITS)
  • Statistics in context of (classical) genomics projects
  • Data mining and visualisation of various Omics disciplines

Academic Requirements:

  • Applicant must have finished PhD (Computational biology preferably in ecological context)
  • Applicant must have strong hold on programming languages, Required R and BASH/Unix shell scripting; Preferably Perl and Python
  • Applicant must possess fluency in English (both speaking/writing)
  • Applicant must have ability to identify opportunities for valorization of bioinformatics research
  • Applicant must be a team player

Remuneration: salary in max. scale 11 of the CAO WR, depending on experience

Duration: contract for a period of 1 year with possibilities of extension (for 36 hrs p.w.)

Location: Lelystad
