Wageningen Bioveterinary Research (WBVR) at Wageningen University & Research is inviting applications for readily available research scientist in the challenging multi-disciplinary field.
Experience requirements:
- Marker-based microbiota analysis (16S/ITS)
- Statistics in context of (classical) genomics projects
- Data mining and visualisation of various Omics disciplines
Academic Requirements:
- Applicant must have finished PhD (Computational biology preferably in ecological context)
- Applicant must have strong hold on programming languages, Required R and BASH/Unix shell scripting; Preferably Perl and Python
- Applicant must possess fluency in English (both speaking/writing)
- Applicant must have ability to identify opportunities for valorization of bioinformatics research
- Applicant must be a team player
Remuneration: salary in max. scale 11 of the CAO WR, depending on experience
Duration: contract for a period of 1 year with possibilities of extension (for 36 hrs p.w.)
Location: Lelystad
