The Institute for Environmental Medicine (IMM) at Karolinska Institutet is inviting applications for Scientists in Toxicology and Epidemiology for Metals.
About the position:
- The focus is to independently conduct epidemiological and toxicological research on the importance of early exposure, focusing on metal exposure from food and drinking water, especially in relation to growth, the development of the nervous system and hormonal disorders.
- The tasks include managing and conducting own research in the field, including supervision of doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows.
- The service also includes some teaching.
- The service is a 2-year fixed-term contract.
Qualifications:
- Applicant must have obtained a doctoral degree or has equivalent scientific competence, as well as documented research work after a public defense, corresponding qualification as a research assistant.
- Applicant must be independent researcher who has his own research grants and experience of project management in the area concerned.
- Applicant must have some experience of supervision of students at postgraduate level and experience of teaching.
