SPOTLIGHT, a newly launched Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network (ITN) offers 15 PhD positions in 7 European countries.
About the project:
- The project will work towards a 5G mobile networks architecture that aims to break performance limitations of the currently loosely inter-connected, resource-fragmented and isolated in operation mobile network ecosystem, by transforming the existing multi-layered set of attachment points to a flat coalition of massively distributed transceivers utilizing a common pool of energy, radio, computing and storage resources that are optimally handled by a cloud-empowered network core.
Benefits:
- very attractive employment conditions and competitive salaries
- selected fellow will join top-class research groups and have a unique opportunity to pursue a career in mobile communications
- selected fellow may lead to the successful completion of a PhD degree
- planned mobility among seven EU countries and ten institutions is a plus
Eligibility criteria:
- applicant must be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research careers
- Applicant can be of any nationality, but must not having stayed or carried out their main activity in the country of the host institution of the position they are applying to for more than 1 year in the past 3 years
- Applicant must not have yet been awarded a PhD degree.
Applications:
- Fill up the application form, indicating preference to one or more of the open positions. Applications must also include:
- Motivation letter
- full Curriculum Vitae
- Grade Transcripts
- 3 Recommendations letter with contact details
- other relevant documents
- applications to be sent at itn.spotlight@gmail.com
