Transatlantic Research Fellowship ‘Peace and Security’ 739 views

The Europa-Kolleg Hamburg and the Federal Chancellor Helmut Schmidt Foundation is offering a visiting research fellowship for doctoral students with research projects in the field of Transatlantic Relations focused on questions relating to peace and security.

Duration: up to 3 months (from fall of 2018)

About the fellowship:
  • The successful fellow will participate in, and contribute to the international conference “The Future of Transatlantic Relations: Challenges in Trade, Security and Environmental Policy” (FOTAR2018) on 16 and 17 November 2018 in Hamburg.
  • Along with a group of five already selected fellows, the successful applicant will be based at the Institute for European Integration in Hamburg.
  • During their stay, research fellows are to conduct academic research focusing on current challenges in transatlantic relations within their respective policy area (trade and investment, peace and security, environment and climate)
  • Fellows are expected to present their research in a seminar setting and produce a manuscript to be published in the institute’s discussion paper series and/or submitted to an external journal
  • Fellows are expected to participate in, and contribute to the “FOTAR2018” conference
